In 1956, McLean – the father of container freight – converts a World War II ship, from a warship to a tanker and container carrier, sailing from New York to the Port of Houston. No one would have thought that the 58 35-foot boxes would become the very item leveraging the great revolution of maritime transport.

In order to secure the successful completion of each transport, all contracts and documents circulate among the more than twenty functions that are all part of a freight project: Inquiry, booking, vehicle dispatch, container pick-up, stock yard, port clearance, factory loading, port arrival, customs, shipment at the departure port, sea voyage, customs liquidation at the destination port, dredging at the destination port, and the final customer receipt. It is a cumbersome process that brings great inconvenience.
